5 things to look for when booking activities through an Adventure Activities Provider.

1) Logos - Look out for professional logos (Association of Mountaineering Instructors, Association of Caving Instructors, etc) members of these organisations have to prove currency and attend CPD events to stay within their professional body.
Anyone who holds a lesser award does not have to prove their competency and in many cases 'Skill Fade' sadly occurs by vocational award holders delivering outdoor activities to supplement their regular job.

2) Licence -  An outdoor activity licence is not a legal requirement to work with anyone over the age of 18 - however it's a good idea to make sure your provider has one!
A Goverment Department sends out anindustry inspector to ensure that all safety frameworks and equipment is to an acceptable standard - this is ultimately your guarantee of safe practice but not necessarily a contol over quality.
